Privacy, Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to Bettina Maureen.

These Terms and Conditions are intended to create clarity, integrity and mutual responsibility between Bettina Maureen Kluensch, operating as Bettina Maureen (“Bettina Maureen,” “we,” “us” or “our”), and every person who purchases or participates in a session, course, workshop, retreat, event, recording or other offering (“participant,” “client” or “you”).

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing or participating in any offering.

By accessing this website, purchasing a product or service, registering for an event, or participating in one of our offerings, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.

1. Nature of the Offerings

The Medicine of Your Voice Method™ and Inner Horizon Life Coaching™ offerings may include voice work, coaching, personal inquiry, meditation, breathwork, movement, music, group sharing, educational materials and other personal-development practices.

These offerings are intended for education, personal development and general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, diagnosis or emergency services.

No particular physical, emotional, professional, financial or personal result is promised or guaranteed. Each participant’s experience and results will vary.

Certain retreats or events may include additional activities offered by independent facilitators or third-party providers. Separate terms, health information, consent forms or liability waivers may apply to those activities.

2. Privacy and Personal Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information you provide, including your contact information, registration details and payment-related information.

Personal information may be used to:

  • Process registrations and payments
  • Communicate with you about your purchase or participation
  • Deliver sessions, courses, retreats and other services
  • Provide recordings or educational materials
  • Meet legal, accounting and administrative obligations
  • Send newsletters or promotional communications where you have consented to receive them

Information may be processed by trusted service providers, including payment processors, email providers, course platforms, booking systems and website providers, where necessary to operate our services.

We do not sell your personal information.

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain it. Privacy-related requests may be sent to:

Additional information about data collection, cookies, legal bases for processing, data retention and your rights should be provided in a separate Privacy and Cookie Policy.

3. Confidentiality in Sessions and Groups

Information shared by a client during a private session will be treated confidentially, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious and immediate concern regarding the safety of the client or another person.

Participants in group courses, workshops and retreats agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other participants. Personal stories, experiences and identifying information shared by others must not be recorded, copied, published or disclosed outside the group without that person’s explicit permission.

Although we ask all participants to honor this commitment, we cannot guarantee the conduct of every individual participant in a group setting.

4. Payments and Payment Plans

By purchasing an offering, you agree to pay the stated price and any clearly disclosed fees associated with that offering.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Prices are per person.
  • Payment is charged when registration or purchase is completed.
  • Your place is not confirmed until the required payment or deposit has been received.
  • Any bank, currency-conversion, installment or payment-processing charges are the participant’s responsibility where disclosed before purchase.

If you select a payment plan, you are committing to pay the complete price of the offering. Choosing not to attend or discontinuing participation does not automatically cancel the remaining payments.

Failure to complete an agreed payment plan may result in suspension of access to sessions, recordings, course materials, follow-up gatherings or other parts of the offering.

All payment and refund provisions remain subject to mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable rights relating to distance or online purchases.

5. Session Packages and Expiration

Unless another period is stated in writing, all prepaid private sessions must be used within six months of purchase.

Unused sessions expire after six months and are not refundable, except where required by law or where an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Sessions, retreat deposits, course places and account credits may not be transferred to another person without prior written agreement from Bettina Maureen.

6. Client Cancellations

Private sessions

Private online and in-person sessions require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

A session cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will normally be treated as used and will not be refunded or rescheduled. Exceptions may be made at our discretion in the event of a genuine emergency.

Courses, workshops and online events

Payments for courses, workshops and online events are non-refundable after the applicable cancellation or statutory withdrawal period has expired, unless otherwise stated in the individual event information or required by law.

If you cannot attend, we may offer a credit toward another eligible offering at our discretion. A credit is not guaranteed and may be subject to an expiration date.

Missed classes within an ongoing course cannot normally be transferred, refunded or made up individually.

Retreats and other in-person events

Retreat deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the specific retreat terms state otherwise, we agree otherwise in writing, or a refund is required by law.

The cancellation terms of retreat centers, accommodation providers and other third parties may also apply. Event-specific cancellation conditions will take precedence where they have been clearly provided before booking.

7. Cancellation, Postponement or Changes by the Organizer

Occasionally, an event may need to be changed, postponed or cancelled because of facilitator illness, injury, bereavement, insufficient enrollment, venue problems, severe weather, natural disaster, government restrictions, travel disruption, public-health concerns or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, we may:

  • Provide a suitable substitute facilitator
  • Reschedule the event
  • Move an appropriate session or program online
  • Offer a credit toward another offering
  • Refund the fees paid for the cancelled portion of the offering, where appropriate or legally required

If an event is cancelled or postponed by us, our financial responsibility is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount paid directly to us for the affected offering.

We are not responsible for independently booked flights, transportation, accommodation, meals, visas, childcare, loss of earnings or other personal or incidental expenses arising from an event cancellation, postponement or change, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

Participants are strongly advised not to purchase non-refundable or non-changeable flights, accommodation or transportation.

You are responsible for purchasing flexible or refundable travel arrangements and comprehensive travel insurance that, where available, covers:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Event cancellation or postponement
  • Facilitator illness
  • Personal illness or injury
  • Flight delays or cancellation
  • Lost or delayed luggage
  • Emergency medical treatment
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation

Participants should read their insurance policy carefully to confirm what is and is not covered.

8. Travel Documentation and Personal Arrangements

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, passports, visas, vaccinations, entry requirements, transportation and any accommodation or meals not expressly included in the offering.

We are not responsible for a participant being unable to attend because of passport, visa, immigration, health-entry or other personal travel issues.

Information we provide regarding travel, transportation, entry requirements or local arrangements is offered as general guidance only. Participants remain responsible for checking current requirements with the appropriate authorities and providers.

9. Health Insurance and Medical Responsibility

Every participant attending an in-person workshop, retreat or event is responsible for maintaining appropriate health and travel insurance valid for:

  • The country and location of the event
  • The complete duration of the journey
  • The activities in which the participant intends to take part
  • Emergency treatment, hospitalization, evacuation and repatriation where appropriate

Any medical expenses incurred during or in connection with an event are the participant’s responsibility.

Before attending, participants should consider whether they are physically, emotionally and psychologically able to participate safely. Where appropriate, participants should consult their physician, therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.

Participants must provide accurate information about relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, medications, mental-health concerns, dietary requirements or other circumstances that may affect their safe participation when reasonably requested.

Failure to disclose material health information may result in a participant being asked not to take part in a particular activity or, where necessary for safety, to leave the event.

10. Assumption of Risk and Personal Responsibility

Participation in voice work, breathwork, movement, yoga, retreats, nature activities, travel and other in-person experiences may involve inherent risks.

These may include physical exertion, emotional discomfort, slips or falls, environmental conditions, insect or animal encounters, food reactions, transportation risks and other risks associated with travel, group activities and unfamiliar surroundings.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Your participation is voluntary.
  • You remain responsible for your own body, choices, boundaries and wellbeing.
  • You may pause or decline an activity if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
  • You will follow reasonable safety instructions.
  • You will inform a facilitator promptly if you experience an injury, illness, significant distress or other safety concern.
  • You will not participate while impaired by alcohol, unauthorized substances or medication that makes participation unsafe.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you accept responsibility for injuries, losses or damages arising from the inherent risks of an activity, your own actions, your failure to follow reasonable instructions or your failure to disclose relevant health information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Third-Party Providers and Venues

Retreat centers, accommodation providers, transportation providers, caterers and guest facilitators may be independent third parties.

Their services may be governed by separate terms and conditions, safety procedures and cancellation policies.

To the extent permitted by law, Bettina Maureen is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third-party providers unless Bettina Maureen is legally responsible for the proper performance of those services.

Participants must follow the reasonable rules and safety requirements of venues and third-party providers.

12. Recordings

Recordings of online courses, sessions or lessons are not automatically included in a purchase unless this is expressly stated.

Where recordings are provided, they are offered as supplementary support and their continued availability is not guaranteed. Participants should download permitted recordings promptly.

Unless otherwise stated, recordings may be removed one month after the completion of a course or session series. We are not responsible for recordings that are lost, deleted, corrupted or no longer available after the stated access period.

Participants may not record group sessions, courses, workshops or retreats without prior written permission from Bettina Maureen and the informed consent of everyone who may be recorded.

Private sessions may be recorded only by mutual agreement.

A participant enrolled in a payment plan may be required to bring payments up to date before receiving continued access to recordings or course materials.

If attendance requirements apply to receiving a course recording, these requirements will be stated in the individual course information.

13. Technology and Online Events

Participants are responsible for having a suitable device, stable internet connection and appropriate software for online participation.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide reliable technology and suitable audio and video quality. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access where problems are caused by internet outages, platform failures, storms, natural disasters, power outages or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a significant technical problem on our side prevents a session or event from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it or provide an appropriate alternative.

Technical problems experienced only by the participant do not automatically entitle the participant to a refund, replacement session or credit.

14. Changes to the Format

Where circumstances reasonably require it, an in-person private session or study program may be moved online by mutual agreement.

A retreat or substantial in-person event will not be converted into an online event without providing participants with appropriate notice and any options required under applicable law.

Minor changes to schedules, facilitators, activities or program content may occasionally be necessary. Such changes will not entitle a participant to a refund unless they materially alter the essential nature of the purchased offering or applicable law provides otherwise.

15. Participation, Conduct and Community Integrity

We are committed to creating a respectful, conscious and supportive environment.

Participants agree to:

  • Treat facilitators, venue staff and other participants respectfully.
  • Respect personal boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior or disruption.
  • Follow reasonable health and safety instructions.
  • Refrain from attending while carrying a contagious illness that could endanger others.

Participants are encouraged to attend the full offering from beginning to end because continuity and commitment support the work.

However, each participant remains free to pause or leave an activity when necessary for health, safety or personal wellbeing. Leaving early or choosing not to participate in part of an event does not normally create a right to a refund.

We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave an event where their behavior creates a safety risk, seriously disrupts the group, violates another person’s boundaries or breaches these Terms. No refund will normally be provided in such circumstances, except where required by law.

16. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Unless otherwise stated, all course materials, recordings, exercises, written content, methods, music, practices, documents and other materials provided through our offerings are owned by or licensed to Bettina Maureen Kluensch.

The Medicine of Your Voice Method™ and Inner Horizon Life Coaching™ are proprietary names and methods.

Materials are provided for the participant’s personal use only. They may not be copied, reproduced, taught, distributed, published, sold, uploaded or used commercially without prior written permission.

Purchasing or participating in an offering does not grant the right to teach, facilitate, reproduce or commercially use The Medicine of Your Voice Method™ or Inner Horizon Life Coaching™.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, unless another jurisdiction is required by mandatory consumer law.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in this section deprives you of the protections or legal remedies available to you under the laws applicable to your residence.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal obligations.

The version that applies to a purchase will normally be the version made available at the time of booking, unless a later change is required by law or expressly accepted by the participant.
